Kunashir Isand Rat Snake (Elaphe climacophora kunashirensis)
Awesome snake, really active, curious and tame. The colors are unbelievable! This snake's character is hard to describe, He almost seems sentient and wise. Great feeder too. To me this species is the equivalent of an asian Baird's Rat Snake. I leave his cage open and he'll roam around at night and then wind up right back in it...day after day. As cool as any snake I have! Nov. 11th 2009
What appears white on his chin and throat here is actually a rich powder blue.
