updated: 2010-04-01Florida Pine Snake (Pituophis melanoleucus mugitus)
He started out as a real on/off feeder but never lapsed too long. Lately he's pretty much on all the time. They start out with a pinkish cast but he's pretty close to pure white now. At this writing he is over 600 grams and just shy of 4 feet at about 18 months. He's growing modestly but really solid and will probably get over 5 feet.
He's also a very calm and handles a lot like a milksnake, coiling around an arm and just hanging. Sometimes it's even tough to get him off!
Oct. 21st, 2009 - Not much else to say about this type of snake...but it speaks for itself in real life...just "ripped mass", the very essence of a colubrid constrictor.
